It will now air one week later on Monday, April 29. The episode originally scheduled for April 29, “The Squab and the Quill,” will now air on April 22, replacing “Still.”I’m sorry if I’m a horrible person for whining about this, but… no. You don’t air episodes out of order. It would be better to push everything back a week, although I’d still probably whine about missing a week. But that’s the whole reason why TV shows are cool. They’re written and shown in a specific order for a reason. And I’m sorry again, but current events shouldn’t have an affect on an episode of a fictional TV show that was written months ago and already scheduled to air on a certain date. It’s completely unrelated. And anyway, what’s really the difference if it airs this Monday or next? It’s still a bomb-themed episode (with totally different circumstances than the Boston thing, I might add). And, I mean, if they avoided showing episodes of crime shows where someone was murdered every time someone was murdered somewhere in real life… crime shows wouldn’t exist.
It’s not uncommon. Episodes are often pulled when tragic events happen, like 9/11 or the recent spurt of school shootings.
Your opinion shows a blatant disregard and disrespect for those dealing with a tragic event. It’s not completely unrelated. In fact, an episode like Still has the potential to be incredibly triggering and traumatic. And maybe if it airs two weeks later instead of one week later, it’ll lessen the impact for some. It might not, but it could. And I think that’s the least they can do.
Also- saying you’re “sorry” before writing an insensitive post does not negate your blatant insensitivity.
You’re 22. Time to grow up and realize that life doesn’t revolve around entertainment or “cool tv shows.”

So last night I got a little upset at Shonda Rhimes’ comment about Grey’s being “just a television show.” And this is why (and this is a post about Castle, not GA):
As Castle approaches its 100th, I’m reminded of how I started watching in the first place. I’d seen the previews when it started in its first season, but I was relatively dismissive at first glance - so sure that it would be canceled because it looked like every other cop show around - with an Olivia Benson lookalike to match.
Even though Elizabeth (my best friend) watched, I ignored the show until it reached its third season. A lot had changed for me that year - I quit a part-time job that I’d had for four years and spent my breaks at home doing nothing because I was so burnt out. That year was also the year I lost my other best friend - Brittany - to suicide. Three weeks before I was set to return to college for sophomore year, I got the phone call you’re never prepared for.
my best friend and I are watching Supernatural and she says to me, you know what would be great? If we printed out pictures, like candids, of the characters and stuck them in photo albums with names written on the back to mess with our future kids?
Obviously, I’d do it for Castle.
Oh, that’s your Aunt Kate and Uncle Rick.
Why don’t we ever see them?
…They live in Canada.
And then they don’t even realize you’ve fucked with them until they turn on the television one day.

Sure thing! I’ve been voting, too.
Guys, check it out. TV’s Top Couples Contest!!!

Nathan Fillion, you kind of piss me off sometimes.
Got to hang out with Luke tonight on the red carpet at a Hollywood event. Lots of glamorous people there. No one I knew though, except for Kyle Richards. Long, exhausting night, but I had a fun time hanging out with him and the SRC crew.
I mentioned something on Twitter about the event and someone wanted me to ask him to put NF in more cargo jackets. Comments like this grate on my nerves. Because you know, the whole universe doesn’t revolve around Castle.
Sometimes I wish you guys could see what I see. How hard these people work, how so very very hard they work. I’m sure you can imagine, but I feel like if you really knew, you’d let go of the nitpicky stuff about the show (like continuity issues with angles, their wardrobe, etc) and just let it be.
There’s more to Luke than Castle.
There’s more to life than Castle.
Totally agree with you, Olivia! While I think the online Castle experience is something fun we can all fangirl/fanboy over, regardless of our geography, I have come to realize that some people take it to an extreme. Mostly younger girls. You see a lot of inappropriate messages and tweets sent to the cast and crew of Castle because they want it to reflect some version of fantasy they have imagined in their heads. And this is the danger, because a lot of these girls are using these fantasies to feed some emotional need, vicariously, and so much of this is tied to their self-esteem. I so wish we could all just take turns being fans of every person in this fandom.
To your point, there is more to life than Castle and I hope we can all enjoy and celebrate the achievements of these talented people without needing to always be so critical.
Yes. Exactly!

I’m working really hard to try to get @redcarpetluke nominated for a Streamy Award for his show, Secrets of the Red Carpet, and I’m hoping you guys will help.
If you go to secretsoftheredcarpet.com and click on these two images:

It’ll take you to your twitter account and create the tweet for you. All you have to do is allow it to post. It’ll only let you vote once for each category, BUT I also need some help getting other people to vote, so I’ve been tweeting this out every day:
Help me nominate @redcarpetluke and #SRCtv for Streamy Awards! Go to http://www.sotrc.com & click t-nails for Best Host and Best Live Show!
Whoever helps me the most (reblogging, tweeting, getting others to vote) can pick a fic prompt of their choosing for me to write. I’m not conceited enough to think that a majority of you read my writing, so if you want something else (my left arm, my shoes….my soul), maybe we can work something out. ;)
No, but seriously. It’s the only thing I know to offer, but we love Castle and we love @redcarpetluke and I know it would mean THE WORLD to him if you guys could help me out.
(and yes, it is part of my job description as an intern to help get the ball rolling on this).
PLEASE REBLOG TO SPREAD THE WORD!
I work for Luke, Castle’s costume designer. But he has his own show, Secrets of the Red Carpet. Technically, I work on that show, but I do have Castle-related tasks on occasion.
I’ve met Tamala and Molly, but only because they’ve guest-starred on his show.
